So I learned some more stuff this week. The lessons just never stop! Aren't you glad? You wanna hear about them? SWEET! Read on!
This week I learned that....
1. if you are hungry when you go to bed your stomach may indeed wake you up with it's growling around 2 am.
2. your dog will wake you up soon after you've fallen back to sleep after convincing yourself that you'll be eating in a few hours by running along the floorboard and yelping in her sleep. *sigh*
3. when I need a question answered, my blogging friends never let me down. Thank you for all the input about the camera. You guys rock!
4. the movie Up, was in my opinion, really really good. It's very dramatic and sad ,yet funny. It definitely touched on all the senses, which to me makes for a good movie. My daughter didn't like it because she said she cried to much. But she IS a hormonal teenager. LOL. My boys ages 4 and 7 really liked it and my husband liked it so we are giving it 4 1/2 thumbs up! Honestly, a lot, okay most of the stuff went right over the boys' heads. I think adults are going to like it better than kids. But that's just my very unprofessional opinion.
5. when you go to the trouble to "bring" snacks to the movies, it's probably a good idea to remember to eat them there. *sigh* We ate them on the way home.
6. an organized desk clears the mind!
7. a lot of rain and a lot of sun means a lot of mowing from now on. Let the games begin.
Well I'll stop there. I could go on as it's been a very productive week but I know you have other things to do. But if you want to learn from others that are probably wiser (but not as much fun), hee hee, go check out Musings of a Housewife.
HUGGING YOU ALL!

Love #7!!....yes, we're discovering the same thing over here on the "left side"! lol!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
Maria
Hubby says UP is great!! He has been working on several press events for it. He can't wait for us to see it. My mom and dad went by them selves and were surrounded by kids. Glad it just wasn't my dad or people may look at him "weired"!! LOL. Have a great week!
ReplyDelete#1 - I HATE waking up in the middle of the night hungry. You'd think without food in your stomach your body would be energy-deprived and you'd sleep through it, but NEVER!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love to mow the lawn.
ReplyDeleteOh heck if a teenager cries I shall be bawling uncontrollably. Seriously, I have this reputation with my kids, particularly in kids movies, it will get to a few minutes in and they'll start nudging each other and looking at me and they're asking each other "Is she crying yet?"
ReplyDeleteAt 17 and 14 they should know by now the answer is bound to be yes, but I think it's become part of the movie going experience!
You KNOW it's a good movie when you FORGET to eat your snacks! That would NEVER happen to us!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so glad you reviewed UP here. I want to see it. I keep forgetting about this blog carnival that I totally love but never remember.
ReplyDeleteI think #6 will be my mantra today.
You are awesome Kim!
My girl loved the movie UP and if she loved it it had to be good.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the mowing. Good Grief like every other day our grass could use it. ugh.
We went to see UP over the weekend, too. And brought in snacks. I usually don't forget to take them out though, because I put water bottles in my purse that make my purse so heavy that I'm dying to lighten the load. The movie was wonderful! My daughter keeps pretending to be Alpha so she can talk in a funny voice...
ReplyDeleteLOL on the snacks! That movie sounds great! :D I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteNothing worse than waking up hungry!
ReplyDeleteLOL! You've been busy again this week :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't have to worry about waking up hungry since the reason that I've gained my weight back is because I eat in the bed watching TV at night! ughhhh! But, I am trying to do better cause I need to lose 20 lbs...quick!
Have a great day, my sweet friend! I will email you later.
((hug))
When I eat real close to my bed time, I seem to wake up more hungry in the morning then normal. LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
I'd like to take our family to see Up, too. It sounds good! Thanks for the recommendation.
ReplyDeleteI'm passing on a friendship award to you. So sometime you'll have to check it out. :) Have a great day!
Well my friend, obviously you are not eating enough chocolate before bed! :)
ReplyDeleteGood to hear on Up - just don't know when we'll have time to go. Maybe in a couple of weeks.
Sorry about all the mowing - teach the kids to do it I say - LOL!!
Hope you are having a good day. I did my last volunteer day at the school today! Right now I am feeling grouchy though as I am trying to avoid chocolate since I restarted WW, but it is a certain time, you know? I feel like the saying - Hand over the chocolate and no one gets hurt! :)
Big eat-a-handful-of-chocolate-in-bed-to-quiet-that-tummy hugs to you!! :)
I so enjoy your blog and I'm giving you an award, come by and pick it up :)
ReplyDeleteNow I want to see "Up". When I suggest it to my husband, he will think I'm so "in".
ReplyDeleteI love coming here. You really make me smile. A lot!
ReplyDeleteChristy
I loved #1!
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about UP too!
