Make Do Mondays!

I found this Meme. I'm not sure how I found it but I found it.
It was right up my alley. It's all about using, reusing, using up, making do or doing without.
So I thought this week I would participate. Lucky you eh?

Today you are going to marvel at the ingenuity of my thinking. Your jaw will drop, your eyes brighten, your mind wander to what could have been. Okay maybe not that, but you will be amazed. ESPECIALLY if you crochet or knit. I don't knit. I just can't get my brain and my hands to join forces and fit that into my things to learn. Trust me I've tried to convince them that it's something I want to do but they refuse to listen, so instead I crochet. Now that I could do with my eyes shut. And I don't know about you but many a times I have had a hard time finding that end in the middle and end up unwrapping the outside of the yarn and it's such a pain to unravel it and your skein of yarn go flying across the room.
Well friends, today I have solved my problem and your problem if you indeed have this same problem. I wonder how many times I could possibly say problem in one sentence?

Now I'm pretty sure they make something for this but I thought this up all by my lonesome.
See, I buy bulk brown rice at Sam's and they come in really big plastic containers. When I emptied one the other day I thought, "Hmmm, if I could get my husband to drill a hole in the lid I could keep my yarn from flying all over the place when I unravel the it." And you wanna know something? IT WORKED! Oh yeah! Trash to Treasure baby!

Here's living proof!
Just an ordinary rice container?
Oh I think not!
Just drill yourself a hole in the lid and you got yourself a handy dandy yarn holder!
Any large plastic container will work at long as it has a screw on lid. Sam's size pretzel container will work as well.
If you have any bright ideas on using, reusing, making do or doing without go link up HERE.

LOVE YOU MY FRIENDS!

What a simple and creative idea to reuse something as simple as a rice container for a craft project. Brilliant!
