Sometimes your the windshield sometimes your the bug!

Unfortunately today I am the bug.
Yup! I am splattered all over that windshield. LOL
I know you want to know what happened and I'm gonna tell ya.
Last night we had one of the worst storms we've had in a long time in regards to lightening. It was hitting very close and it was very loud. And of course on this particular night my husband was at work. So around 10 o'clock last night I'm wondering who's bed I could crawl into! LOL. I expected 3 kids in bed with me by the end of it but yet there I lay all alone. And then it happened. The loudest lightening strike of the night. And you know when you hear the static in the air that it's not good. We never lost power but about 10 seconds after that strike my computer came on by itself (Yeah I know! Stupid me didn't unplug it!) and I knew that wasn't good. To make a long story shorter, it fried something in our BRAND NEW computer and now I cannot connect to the internet. So now I am at my MIL's (who doesn't believe in air conditioning) typing this because I knew you would want to know! LOL
See how considerate I am?
What does this mean? Well I may be out of commission for a little while. Not sure how long. If you don't hear from me you know we haven't gotten it fixed yet.
Anyone got a good windshield cleaner? Oy!
And I had a some good stuff this week too! LOL!
Love you my friends!

  2. I know it's awful, but at the same time it's kinda funny that it was struck by lightening - just what were you doing on the computer - LOL!!

You have to go use other computers every day because I simply cannot survive without your daily posts! Hopefully your computer can be easily fixed!

Oh my poor friend - I do feel for you!! Keep me posted as you can!

Big how-will-I-live-without-your-posts-and-how-will-you-survive hugs to you!! Love ya!

  3. Kim,

It is so scary when lightning strikes that close. I know for us it must have hit our old TV antenna one night cause you could just feel it throughout the whole house.

Now I love the rain and the thunder, just could pass on the lightning! So glad it was only your computer that is on the blink.

    Love and Hugs ~ Kat

  7. YIKES! I am so sorry! Did you not have a surge protector for it? I don't know if a warranty would cover it or not. If you bought it with an American Express card, I think it would be covered under their warranty program. Just a thought!

  11. Girl, what were you thinking??? Not unplugging your computer when it's storming that close. Uggghhh. ;)
That really stinks. Not hearing from you is the pits! Praying for a quick fix. It's something minor that will be fixed before you know it and then you can share your good stuff with us.
You know we love you. :)

  18. It's users like you who give my hubby job security! ( ; Sorry about the mishap. At least you have tech support from someone who won't cause you have to have to take out a loan when he's done fixin' things up for ya!
