I Can Sleep Easy Now!

Yesterday my husband had a meeting with some of the men from church and two of the wives came. And because we are such understanding women and we didn't want to disturb them, we decided that we should go to Wal-Mart and kill some time.
So the 3 of us head out. We get to Wal-Mart and I did actually need to pick up a bathmat, which I did, but that only took like a minute, sooooooo guess where we went? Yup, the Christmas section. We slowly walked down EVERY SINGLE AISLE, looking at every little thing. And now I can rest easy knowing that I have seen ALL that Wal-Mart has to offer this Holiday Season!

Here's where Wal-mart goes wrong.(Not that I'm complaining!) I know that EVERYTHING that I am now looking at will instantly be 50% off the day after Christmas, so if I can just hold out long enough, I'll be able to get it that much cheaper.
So what did I walk away with?

This, fake snow!
Since I'm pretty sure it isn't going to snow this year in Florida, I am going to put some of this on the corners of the windows to make it "look" like it's cold and frosty outside. Yes, desperate times call for desperate measures my friends. LOL!

LOVE YOU MY FRIENDS!

Homeschoolers this is for you!

. Notebooking Pages is having a great sale starting today!! I'll have the button on my blog all during the sale if you want to come back and check it out later!

  2. I have a hard time buying Christmas stuff to decorate with when I know it is going to be cheaper later too! But then sometimes half the cute stuff is gone! :( Oh well, I guess I really did not need it then, huh?

  6. I could use that fake snow too, since it doesn't snow where I live either.
Like you, I love a bargain and I know what you mean about reduced prices after Christmas for holiday decorations.

  7. Why don't you come on up for Thanksgiving dessert. They're calling for snow showers here all day!

My hat, btw, is off to the sheer strength of your will power.

  8. Whew - I thought you were going to have a cart full of more Christmas stuff! The snow sounds fun! We don't get snow here, but the leaves all fall and it gets chilly.

Big you-fought-the-Walmart-Christmas-aisle-and-you-won hugs to you!! Have a lovely day my friend! :)

  9. Ok first of all, HOW CUTE is your new template?!!! :O

You and your Christmas stuff, Kim! Too funny. My favorite holiday for "wait until the next day and it's all 50% off" is Halloween....Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! ;) Just because it's in an orange & black package!!

I'm still trying to get used to a WARM Christmas season!..lol! This is the one time of year in NH that you're "supposed" to have snow. Not that I'm complaining, mind you!

    Hugs,
    Maria

  10. Well, girl, I'll be in Orlando the spring of 2011 as we're going to Disney World. Do you and Debbie M. and Kathy C. live anywhere near there?

Love the fake snow but feel free to come visit sometime if you want some real snow. Of course, we don't get it as much as other places.

  12. Hey! I'm still alive, lol! There just aren't enough hours! And it gets late early. But I still love ya and kinda keep up and hope to get this new schedule (or reasonable facsimile thereof) under control soonly. And Kathy, if you're reading this, I still love you, too, and promise I'll get over to your place tomorrow... which is actually today for people who go to bed at a normal time. 8-}

    Love ya loads, sweet thang!
    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

  13. Well, at least you have a good excuse for buying fake snow. On our first married Christmas we were in Japan (where it snows 8 months out of the year) and I bought fake snow for our entry way window. lol There was plenty of snow outside, but I just had to have some inside too!

  14. We have this window in our bathroom that is right across from the shower; it's higher up, so it's harder to see in, but I've went across the street and stood, and you can definitely see in; problem is, the window is round, so it was harder to cover up. So, as soon as Walmart put out the Snow this year, I bought me a can.:)LOL It works great! I covered just enough of the window, so that I can now get out of the shower without bending clear over trying to stay hidden. LOL (I know, TMI, but that snow is a lifesaver.) LOL
