Little Bit of Blah and a Little Bit of Yada!

First off I have to tell you that there is quite an advantage to your hubby reading your blog.
WHY you ask? Well because he came home with not one but two more of those pretty flowers that I took a picture of the other day and mentioned wanting more of. *wink*
And now I know what they are. They are Gazania's.
He said that they had different colors so he brought home one the same color as the one I have and this pretty yellow one.
I love these. They are "Happy" flowers.
So I called my best buddy Kathy and told her about my excitement with these new flowers and what the name of them was and she continued to inform me that she had bought some one time and they died. *Screech..........* Good feeling gone. See the way I see it is if she can't grow something in the wonderful soil that she has, I am not going to have much luck over here in the salt air and sand. *sigh* Watching them die a slow death was not what I wanted.
We'll see. I'll keep you posted.

On another note, it looks like I have some takers on the 30 Day Shred Challenge. Since I have to wait for my DVD to get here, that will give me an opportunity to get the blog set up.
Here's what I need from the people that want to participate.
A. email me your email address so when I get the blog up and running I can add you as a co writer. Put (Shred) in the Subject line.
B. Send me a picture of you that you would like me to put on the blog. (Not a "before" picture) Just a nice picture of your mug. (Not your coffee mug) LOL!
C. Don't start the shred with out me! LOL!

If you don't know what I'm talking about go here and read what I've come up with. It's not to late to join it!
Basically I'm thinking misery loves company! Hee! Hee!

Well that's my Blah Blah and Yada for the day!

What are you up to today?
HUGS!!

Kim

  6. Still love your flowers, I believe you can keep them alive but even if you don't, enjoy them while you can!! I really want to join you on the 30 day shred. I have it and did it for a while a month or so ago but I have a bad knee and it about killed me. I'm glad you aren't starting yet, it will give me more time to decide if I have it in me again. Either way, I am behind you all the way.
    Love and Blessings,
    Angel

  8. Your flowers are beautiful and how sweet of your hubby to think of you like that. That flower looks like a Happy Flower! I was thinking it just needed a smiley face in the center. :)

    Have a great week!

  9. Your hubs is so sweet! That flower definitely matches a smiley face! I hope the flowers survive - maybe if you share your laughter with them, they'll grow better (tell 'em a joke every day, hee, hee)! :)

I am in for the Shred that I bought Friday that is still shrink-wrapped - LOL!

OK - I'm going to go write up a little old post for my blog now while my son is resting. Big gonna-need-to-look-at-those-flowers-for-happy-thoughts-after-shredding hugs to you! Have a SUPER day my friend!!

  11. I love the flowers! Who knows? Maybe your soil is just the kind they need to thrive. Google the plant online and see if you can find more info about caring for them.

What have I done today? Worked and blogged! I guess I should prepare some supper for when my hubby gets home...hooray for leftovers!

  12. Yep - thanks for the name - that is what I grow all the way in Australia. They love the sun and heat but cope VERY WELL in frost and cold in my little climate.
