Christmas In July! Why Now?

So why do this now? I'll give you a few reasons.
Less Stress!
Now is the perfect time to start planning. I don't know about you but it's hot out and I'm inside a lot. So why not put the Christmas music on and get busy. Get a notebook and jot down your ideas and then put them into action. The more you get done now, the more you'll be able to just sit back and reflect on what it's all about any way, the birth of our Savior!
I admit that I love all things Christmas but I never ever lose focus on the whole reason I'm celebrating!
Life as Mom puts these thoughts down perfectly right here!

Boredom Busters!
This is a perfect opportunity to get the kids involved. It's summer and I know for a fact that the young ones get bored. So why not let them help you prepare? You may have to explain to your 5 year old why we aren't putting the tree up yet but he'll get it, eventually! LOL!

Sales!
Take advantage of those Summer back to school sales. I don't know about you but the end of the year has always been tight for us, money wise. So if your budget allows, do most of your shopping now.

Time Saver!
If you can do your shopping early, make sure you go ahead and wrap them and put them away (that is if you have room) and you won't have to worry about it later. We all know how long wrapping can take. Just make sure you keep track of what you bought and for who by writing it on a paper you can keep with the gifts! This also gives you the perfect opportunity to make homemade wrapping paper, which is so much fun to do with the kids!

Have I  convinced you to give it a shot yet?
Well I hope you at least stop by this week for a little peek! Who knows you might get some ideas!

Have a glorious SONday!

Kim

  7. Um...um...wella...I don't even know what to say. Don't even have my kids school books ordered yet. Don't have the dishes done from this morning done yet. Christmas may have to wait a month or two... Man, I love my organized friends!

  8. This reminds me of my mom. She always had most of her Christmas shopping done by October. The only problem she ever had was forgetting where she had hid the stuff.
Thanks for the suggestion...if I can get my school worked out first than maybe I can get started
