The Moving Boxes Part 3

Before we ever had a contract on our house we planned our vacation for the week of November 9-15, little did we know it would be right smack dab in the middle of all of this. But since it was already prepaid we had to go. (Vacation pictures to come!)

While we were on vacation the “wife” and “husband” of the house we are buying, had a little spat and the wife decided she would get back at the husband by not agreeing to sell the house. Her realtor quickly explained to her that that would not be such a great idea because it wouldn’t just be hurting her “husband” but it would be hurting the family wanting to buy her home (us) and not to mention the realtors involved in the whole process and the time it’s taken to get everything together. So as of right now, it’s still moving forward and she is out looking for a place to live. *Phew* That could have gotten ugly!

The story is still unfolding and who knows what can happen between now and the 30th. We’re praying that all goes smoothly from here on out.
I had a packing party yesterday and had some of my girlfriends over and we actually got a lot packed in one day. What a blessing!
So here’s the recap!

Our house right now!

The house we had set out to buy, but then it sold!

My dream home! LOL!

And this is the house we are in the process of buying. (Try to imagine it without the realtor walking in front of it. LOL!)

So it’s T-Minus 13 days and counting. The timing is kind of nerve wracking because we aren’t sure how it’s all going to go down. So if you think about us during your prayer time, we’d sure appreciate you sending one up for us!
I’ll keep you posted on any new developments.
HUGS!

  10. What a lovely home...and I don't think you'll be surprised if I say that I am drooling over all the green. There haven't been green leaves or really green grass here for 2 months now. And every year, I hate that.

So anyhow, I'm excited about y'all's move. Can't wait to hear that ya'all are in and UNPACKING (again.)

    Love,
    Patti

  15. Oooh, I hope you get the house because I want to see the before and after pictures!

We had a contingency on this house before we bought it. The night before the contract was up we got an offer on our previous home, so we were able to buy this one.

I was so excited because it was down to the wire, and I had prepared myself that we weren't going to get this house (and I really wanted it!).
