A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22

Word-Filled Wednesday! I’m still here.

WFWlogo2

This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible and as I sit here at the computer this morning I admit that this is not the path that I would have chosen for myself. No, see, yesterday we were supposed to close on the selling of our home and the purchasing of another but it didn’t happen. Nothing WE did, but because of circumstances out of our control it didn’t go through.

I’d like to say that I handled the situation really well, but I didn’t. I cried and got a bit short with my family. But in the end, I went to bed with a roof over my head and a good belly laugh with my husband.

God is good and I have no idea what today will bring ,but He does. Nothing catches Him by surprise. Thank you Jesus! I trust Him to direct our paths according to HIS will, not ours. As painful as that is sometimes I know He’s got it ALL under control.

So today I am trusting and leaning on my Jesus!

Life is never boring is it?

Have a FABULOUS day my friends!

  2. Aww Kim..this happened to us twice in a 8 week period..the last one was 2 days before our daughters wedding. I said enough..we took the house off the market..I unpacked..and literally had a mini nervous breakdown..lol
I wished I had gone to scripture more..I know I jerked the reins out of God's hands. And I Know we have suffered for my control issues...so with saying this..I am proud of you!!And Know that He is in control..and He will do what is best for ya'll.
Will be praying for His will...Hugs Cindy

  6. Oh, sweet friend, I am so sorry. I don't know what God is up to you on your behalf but I do know this: when God takes something away for His good purpose, for His perfect will, for our best interest, He somehow blesses us abudantly in the end and even during the process. How do I know? Rachel suffered for an entire year...and He was there...and look at all God is doing for her now? Hang on to Him, keep telling Him all about it, and He will give you the strength and His grace in the process. I'm praying!

  11. GIRL, 10 years ago we sat in a closing that was SUPPOSED to happen and the buyers walked out...just decided that they didn't want to do it. We sat stunned. I'd like to say I handled it well, but I didn't...
TRUST God in this..He knows the WHYS...I SO know where you are!

    peace on the journey...

  12. Oh dear KIM! I have a stone in the pit of my stomach after reading this news. Yes, the Lord will work all things together for good. He has something even better in store for you and your family.

Though times as they are, I wouldn't be surprised if I'd be visiting you in the mansion HE has prepared for you.....where our real treasures will be...soon and very soon... I'm just sayin' .... and oh "What a glorious day that will be!"

  18. Hi Kim,

Just found your site and had to comment as this scripture has become my family's 'keynote' scripture. Glad to see in the later post that God answered your prayers; He is faithful!

    Blessings,
