Friday Funnies! Dissecting a Turtle!

friday funnies

Happy Friday Everyone!

Are you ready to end this week on a good note? Well then you’ve stopped at the right place. Here you’ll find family friendly funnies to get your middle jiggling. If you would like to participate please feel free to link up a family friendly picture, video, story etc.

My funny today involves my 8 year old son, again. He is constantly doing something to make me laugh.

My parents had sent down some Turtles for the kids for Valentine’s Day. Three HUGE boxes of them. These are not something that we would normally give our children so I was proceeding to tell my kids that they weren’t good for them and that they had corn syrup and too much sugar, yada, yada, yada, blah blah blah.  Basically I didn’t want to deal with the sugar high that comes after they eat them.

So the next day he’s at the table doing this.

Dissecting a poor Turtle. (Notice the quizzical brow!) He wanted to see for himself how bad they were.

Doesn’t that look sick? The ooey gooey caramel?

The sickening chocolate!

Thank goodness for best friends who’s husbands happen to LOVE  Turtles and took most of them off our hands!

Have you dissected a turtle lately?

  5. My 3 older sons balk at dissecting. My college student had an animal in a jar forever that I BOUGHT for a college class - and he never used it. He just watched someone else. I eventually threw it away. My H.S. student refused to dissect a frog and just watched while someone else did it. I'm like, "Geesh." I bet they would dissect your turtles, though, and eat them without a second thought!!!!

  9. Awww - that's cute!! I myself would feed him a few right before bed, so I guess I probably shouldn't babysit or anything. :) But I'd only feed him a few - 'cause the rest would be for ME! LOL!!

Big hyperventilating-at-the-cruelty-being-shown-to-caramel-and-chocolate size hugs to you!! Have a super fabulous weekend my friend! Love you! :)
