Living “Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day” in Person!

All I could think about for the past 24 hours was how, what was happening, resembles this scene from the movie “Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day”.

It all started EARLY Saturday morning and has lasted clear into Sunday. 24+ hours of wind and rain. Then our power went out this morning for a little bit. (But thank the Lord I had already had my coffee. LOL!) Usually they blow something like this out of proportion on the weather channel but I didn’t even hear about it. OY!

My point is, I’m ready for it to stop. Come back sunshine,  I miss you!

Here are some pictures from our backyard. Enjoy! LOL!

Here’s a little bit of our weather beaten garden. I really hope it makes it. You can’t even walk in it without sinking down at least 6 inches into muck. My hubby has worked so hard on it, I’d hate for it to be ruined.IMG_2918

Where you can’t “see” standing water, there is water there trust me. Everywhere I walked my feet went under water.

Oh well, it’s either feast or famine huh?

I’m done complaining, I guess. Hee! Hee!

Any one else get any of this?

Have a lovely day my friends!

  1. Wow, that is alot of rain. Have the boys grabbed the slip and slide and headed out to play? It's been my experience that there is something about boys, water, and mud!!

Sure do hope your garden makes it. After all the work Brad has put into it, it would be a shame if it was ruined.

Grab yourself a cup of tea and a good book (or a good classic movie) as ou wait for the sun to come back out.

    Love and hugs,
    Patti

  4. On the bright side....there is enough water to play Pooh Sticks!

Hope the water doesn't affect your harvest. Love your cheerful attitude, though, in how you're facing it.

  6. We did get a lot of much needed rain too. The sound of thunder and rain were so welcome in our area of Texas. You will be suprised by how your garden may bounce back.

  7. Oh I SO hope your garden is OK! It's rainy here today - has rained for about 6 hours but I think it might be done now and it's supposed to be sunny and dry all the rest of the week. Cute video!!

Big when-it's-blustery-and-rainy-it-can-make-you-kind-of-zany size hugs to you!! Love you friend - hope it's dry now!

  8. I tell ya.... Florida knows how to have a serious Rain! I can't even count the times @ Daddy's that it would pour and pour for hours and as you said days. His bridge to the barn would always be flooded as well as many other places. Hope you are drying out by now :)

Don't ya just LOVE Pooh and Tigger Too ♥
