Nicknames!

We all have them and we even give them but how they come around sometimes is beyond even me.

This post exists because of the fact that the nick name my son has given me has stuck for about 2 years now.

You see Mr.Genius on the left? His nickname for me is English Spanish Bob! Let me say it again, English Spanish Bob! You heard me. You want the history behind that one? Well here it is. I have NO idea where it came from but it’s been his nickname for me for quite some time now. And no, I don’t hablas espanol.

You see the girl in the middle? That’s Precious! Her nickname for me is Muff. Once again, I have no idea how it came about.

You see Little Man there to the right? He hasn’t come up with his own nickname for me yet. He’s currently bouncing back and forth between the older two’s nicknames, but I’m sure that given enough time he’ll come up with his own for me.

So here’s my question to you.

What nicknames have your children come up with for you?

HAVE A LOVELY DAY MY FRIENDS!

  3. My daughter calls me Dr. Doofenschmirtz (or just 'Doof' for short). We love Phinneas & Ferb, and I told her once that I was going to legally change our last name to Doofenschmirtz, and I guess it kind of stuck!

  5. You know? I can't think of anything. How boring is that? It might be a good thing, though!! Lol!

English Spanish Bob?? That's way too funny not to have a story behind it!?

  6. My dad is "Big Poppa"...that was actually a name that our pastor started calling him once, as a joke...and it stuck :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

  7. HA! Well, English Spanish Bob o' Muff...You definitely know how to crack a person up!

    Mine would be:
    Momma Magoo, Maem, Mommy, Woman!

I will be honest and say my husband has far more names than my children do:
Honeybritches, Oh wait! Maybe I shouldn't share that one, Da - not that one either... lololol JK - kinda

    Love ya!

  8. My kids haven't given me a nickname...but I've given them nicknames. One is PaDunkatee-Muffkin, and the other one is BooBoo. They probably have the right to give me a goofy nickname in return!

    XO,
    Lynn

  9. Me-maw, Beezum, Mommy. All my kids have nicknames too. Pukey-lukey (you can guess why), Ah-bily, Doo-dah, Buzz, Boober, Zilla, and finally Sweet-nay-marie. That about sums up our gang.

  10. My 11 year old son has recently started calling me mama bear or mom person or lady person-he cracks me up! Love your blog (have read for awhile but not commented until now). Your family is beautiful :) I look forward in the next year or two becoming a fellow Floridian. My parents live in Pasco county.
