The Post Where I Get a Little Personal

I apologize in advance to any males that might have had the desire to read my blog today. Today is not the day. Trust me on this one. Yes Honey, that means you. Today I gotta talk to the women folk.

So I’m all about sharing the love. You know, when you find something that gets you all excited and you feel everyone needs to know about it because you want them to share your excitement no matter what that thing might be? It’s just that this something has to do with bras.

If you’re like me, you have a love hate relationship with them. And I must admit, it’s more hate than love. I spend many a day in a sports bra because I can’t stand underwire bras and after having 3 children the ol’ girls need a little support system. You know what I’m sayin’?  Yeah, you’re welcome.

The problem with sports bras is they leave you flat. I’m 6 foot tall, I don’t need to be looking like I’m built like a man. Noooooo! Anyhoo, that brings me to my latest discovery.

The Genie Bra. I found this at BJ’s and being a desperate woman in search of a comfortable bra, I took a chance and bought it. It comes as a 3 pack but I’m wearing one so you only see two here.

I’ve tried them out for about 2 weeks now and here’s what I’ve found.

They are way more comfortable then wearing an underwire bra.

They do give support (with the inserts) and don’t leave you flat chested.

They only problem that I’ve had (and it’s one I have with all bras) is that I do need to adjust it every now and again underneath. But it’s not a big deal.

So all in all I love em’. I’m glad I bought them and I wear them all the time now. My sports bras are now being used strictly for working out.

And no, Genie Bra didn’t ask me to write this or anything. I just knew you’d want to know. You’re glad you know now, right? Right? Cause it matters, right?

Maybe tomorrow we’ll talk underwear. I’m kidding!

Have a fabulous day!

Kim

  2. Actually, I'm so glad you wrote this because I have wondered about these.

You hit it on the head when you said it's a love/hate relationship!

I hate my bras but I hate going out in public and shopping for one even more, so I tend to wear them to the point of stretched outness, before purchasing another one.

    Thanks!

  3. I'm glad I popped in her tonight! I am actually in the market for a new bra (or 2, or 3) and wow, these sound amazing! I am going to hunt this down!

  4. Ahh! Tall girl problems! I've got those, too :) Deciding to get a super short haircut also didn't help. I officially look 100% dude-ish if I wear a sports bra now.

  5. Hmmmm....no comment? LOL... You know, I would love to share your issues in life, but, um...nope. Sigh. My next book will be "Life on the Great Plains"... :) hee hee.

P.S. I'm glad you have a comfy bra, or three...because I DO know you have troubles finding the right one. :)

  7. I feel like I could have written this!! My feelings exactly. I have tried so many different styles to only have the same problems after a few days. I purchased one of these last week and have been very happy with it. I do wish they were a little bit more attractive, but if they are comfortable, I am willing to sacrifice.

The tan one reminds me of a TV show I saw once were a lady asked a young girl why she was wearing what looked like an ACE bandage and suggested she buy something more sexy . . . :)

  9. Glad you posted about this - I've seen them on TV many a time and wondered, but then read some reviews of people saying they weren't supportive enough for fuller figures. I just might have to give them a try - at least for at home to be comfy if nothing else.

Big friends-should-always-tell-friends-about-good-bra-tips size hugs to you!! Love ya! :)

  10. I might give them a try sometime. My "girls" need good support, though, so I don't know how well they would work for me. Thanks for the recommendation!

  11. I hate bras! Sports or under-wire, they both annoy me. I will have to keep my eyes open for these! Thanks for the review. :)
