My Newest Project!

You know, because my life isn’t complete without a project. A project that I’ve never attempted before. One that requires knowing what you’re doing and stuff.

But hey, it’ll be fun right? Yeah, the fun is in the process and the learning and the not knowing what you’re doing and the hoping you don’t totally mess it up. Yes, FUN is what I’m going to have. I’m going to have Fun Fun Fun till my Daddy takes the T-bird away. Yuuup!

Our good friends gave us these two pieces. At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted the project, but the more I looked at the pieces the more I saw the potential of what could be.

My first question to them was “You won’t be sad if I totally redo these right?” And they said, “Once it’s yours it’s yours and you can do whatever you want to them.” I said okay, and here they are.

As you can see they are antique. In their prime they were expensive pieces of furniture.

They need some love. Lots of love. I hope I haven’t lost that lovin’ feeling.

I have an idea of what I want to do but I’d love to hear some suggestions and ideas from you all.

If they were yours what would you do?

OXOX,

Kim

  1. Oh...I totally know what you can do with it... hand it over! ;) hee hee... kidding. ;)

I say... paint it white...chippy chalk paint. Recover in fun fabric.

  2. Oh yes, a chippy or distressed chalk white paint job would do wonders for both. Upholstery work is a whole other kettle of fish though! Good luck with the transformations!

But oh how I love the detail on these pieces!
