Show and Tell Saturdays- Beloved Pet

This weeks topic was picked by JenT over at Many Blessings Equals Busy Life.
It's time to show and tell about your favorite pet or if you never had a pet one that you would have liked to have.

Okay it was a late night and I'm just getting started, which for those of you who know me know that this is really really late for me. I also don't have much time so this is going to be the shorter and sweet version. LOL.
Personally after having 2 dogs for over 10 years (We are now down to one. Long story.) my favorite pet has become anything that lives outside. The squirrels in our yard perform daily and I don't have to vacuum after them. The mourning doves sing a PLEASANT tune every morning right outside our window.(And it sounds nothing like the sound of a dog licking through our terrazzo floor!) The lizards don't eat much and are very quiet. The butterflies are pretty to look at and help pollinate my flowers. Yes these are my favorite pets. No shedding, feeding, picking up poopy, spending $300.00 you don't have to get a tooth pulled, being sad when they kick it! You know what I mean?
But for show and tell sake I'll show you a picture of my actual dog Murphy. She is a lab mix and has been a wonderful dog. I'm just tired of cleaning up after her. LOL. This is what she looked like this morning. Well this is what she looks like pretty much every morning. She's about 13 years old now and we will be sad when she goes but no we aren't going to get another one to replace her. I have kids, that's ALL I need! LOL.
Isn't she cute? We do love her and she's been great as far as dogs go!
If you have a beloved pet you'd like to brag about go blog about it and then come back and link up so we can all see!
Happy Saturday my friends!

  2. I finally posted today my friend!

Your dog is cute, but I totally hear you on the whole dog thing. I will not want another after Buster is gone though he is great to have around.

What a day! Hubby is sick in bed and I had to take son to baseball ceremonies and pics today. Had a couples dinner scheduled tonite - called babysitter to cancel. Still have to call Pastor's wife to let her know. Also will have to go to first game of season by myself. :(

Hope you are having a good day and that you are feeling well!

Big No-Cleanup-After Hugs to you!! :)

  3. Awwww...she is precious! I love the look on her face like...oh, come on...you're not realy going to take a picture of me, are you? I love how when our pets get old...the gray around the mouth and face...a lot like we do, I guess.

I can relate to not waiting another one to replace one when they're gone. When something happens to Tiger...we won't have another one. I am so sick of cleaning out a litter box and cleaning up cat vomit...he gets hairballs all the time. UCK!

But, they have brought us many, many wonderful memories. I just hope Tiger last until Tyler graduates.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. I'm late on this one as I just found you - but great idea! I added a post about one of my two crazy dogs... the post wasn't really about her, but there are some very typical pictures of how she takes up space.
