What I Learned this week!

I don't think we ever stop learning do we? Each and every week there seems to be something new on the horizon. For my regular readers I hope this doesn't get to deep as I know you aren't used to getting that here. But here is goes.
This week I've learned.......
1. that no matter how hard you try there will be some part of your body that you miss with sunscreen.
2. that you can meet some incredible people and some complete loons over the internet.
3. that a 3 year old knows when you are distracted and uses that to ask you if he can have a snack, because 80% of the time an Uh, Huh comes out without thinking about what was said. And then you wonder why he doesn't want his supper!

4. that a 6 year old knows how to use a 3 year old as a distraction.

5. that I REALLY don't like time changes!

6. that my 3 year old knows how to say Mom and it sound a lot like Dad to me in the middle of the night. (At least that's what I tell my husband).

7. that I am really not much of a night owl. I'm more of a mourning dove!

8. that I don't like other kids hurting mine!

9. that a best friend can break your heart.

10. that I'm on the lookout for a new best friend~ LOL~ Just send your applications to my email for review! LOL. I'm a bit more cautious these days.

To see the wisdom of others and what they have learned this week, head on over to Musings of a Housewife!
Have a most excellent day my friends!! Come back tomorrow as I am going to spread some economic encouragement!

  2. The friend lessons are always tough, going through one myself.

Boo always asks for snack when I am in the middle of anything, just because she knows I will say yes. Sneaky little girl!

  5. Oh I love your new layout! I haven't been here in a few days! I can't even see all of it because my lap top screen is small compared with my desktop (which is out being repaired/restored).
I want to join in on this meme one of these days! LOL I always have so much going on!

  6. Oh ouch. The friends breaking your heart can hurt worse than the area you forgot to put sunscreen on, can't it? Big big hugs, Kimmy.

Thanks so much for your sweet comments on my posts. Have I ever told you how much you encourage me? May God bless you, my dear sister in Christ! Much love to you!

  8. I think that kids get more "crafty" and "sneeky" these days. They are good!

The "best" friend thing is a painful lesson that we all learn at one time or another. It will definitely make you proceed with caution.

    Happy Tuesday!

  9. I'm with you on many of these things...especially friends breaking your heart, not being a night owl, making GREAT friends over the internet, not liking other kids to hurt my kids, and not liking time changes. Well, that last one's not entirely true---I DO like changing back to Standard Time in the fall....wish we stayed on it year round, but in order to to do that, I'd have to live in Arizona, since they don't observe DST...but I don't think I could stand the dryness of Arizona, since it's even more dry than where I currently live...and I find this climate too dry.

Anyhow, blessings to you, my WONDERFUl blog/internet friend.

    Love,
    Patti

  11. Oh, kids are sneaky. You just can't turn your back on 'em for a second! Never trust anyone under 30!

  12. I'm hating DST myownself. Being a natural-born night owl, it's wreaking havoc with my sleep cycle. As if I don't sleep in late enough already. >:\

Come on up here and give me a test drive, lol! Seriously, I swore off on BF's a few years back. One thing I've learned is that I AM a better friend than I ever HAVE. (Does that make sense? I know what I mean, anyhow). When we moved out here in the woods, I thought for sure we'd have friendly country folk kinda neighbours. Turns out we're in one of those areas where if your g-g-grandparents weren't born here, you ain't 'one of us' and never will be. Couple that with my deep-rooted shy, introverted personality and it makes for a pretty singular existence. *sigh*

  15. So you're saying I'm a complete loon. LOL!

I'm very sorry about your best friend issues - such a hard and sad thing. I suppose your application process includes second and third interviews too. :)

I am a night owl, but I did not like that time change. However, I do like more daylight in the evening.

I'm so glad you've learned so many important things this week my friend! I feel that since you've learned so much, there is no need for me to really learn anything at all - LOL!!

Have a wonderful evening and Big LOONY hugs to you! :)

  23. Great lessons...they're always there, aren't they?

Praying the Lord will give you a Godly friend to laugh with, cry with and live life with.

Love you, friend. Too bad TX and FL are so far apart!

  24. I'm sorry you've been hurt. I know the pain all too well. (((((HUGS))))) We're opposite on the time change though - I LOVE the "spring forward" part of Daylight Saving Time. It always energizes me and I adore the daylight into the evenings.
