Sundays are made for Crockpots!

I really like my crock pot or slow cooker (whatever you want to call it) but I tend to forget about it.
For one of my goals this year I'm going to try to implement it more in my cooking.
So I'm going to start with Sundays. I'll throw something in there before church and lunch will be ready when we get home. That sounds good to me!
I came across a recipe called Chicken Vindaloo and I am going to make that tomorrow. I'll let you know how it turns out and the changes I'll probably make to it.
Hugs!

  1. I need to do some more cooking with my crockpot as I tend to forget mine, too. :(

  2. I think a lot of us are guilty of crock-neglect. I'm looking forward to reading about your vindaloo. I've never tried it but have been curious.

Love ya loads, sweet thang! 8-]
    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

  3. I love the crockpot my friend! Just used 2 of them yesterday to make a double-batch of beef stew (so I can freeze the extra). Will use 1 again in the next day or 2 to make applesauce. However, I can tell you that my family probably wouldn't go for the flavors of that recipe you're trying. Hope you all like it! :) Hugs!

  4. YES, you and I think alike. Sundays are great crockpot days, I make so many soups, stews, chili's plus stock and applesauce. I'll be using your recipes, for sure, thanks for those.

  5. I'm smalling mine right now as I roasted a chicken last night for supper, ate defrosted holiday leftovers for sides, threw carcass into the slow cooker with celery, carrots, onion & spices. Today I'll strain it to use as stock then make chicken soup to freeze for when our family is sick thru the winter. Ahh, I feel so accomplished! Not my idea tho - got it from this lovely blog www.familybalancesheet.org :)
