For the LOVE of Boxes!

Tomorrow is the big day. It’s the day that we load the moving truck!

Believe it or not, I’m ready.

I’ve been living with this……

IMG_0890

and this….

IMG_0891

and these…

IMG_0892

AND these….

IMG_0894

and plenty more that are not pictured, for waaayyyy to long now.

(Are you as sick of looking at boxes as I am of living with them? LOL!)

As sad as it is to leave a house that has 12 years of memories in it, it’s exciting to look forward to making new ones in a new home. We will take the old memories with us and hold them forever in our hearts.

Good bye little yellow house! You’ve been good to us! But it’s time now to

GET ER’ DONE!

I’m not sure how long the transition between here and there is going to take (for the internet at least because that’s all I’m really worried about right now. Who cares that one bedroom is painted an ugly orange, I need internet hooked up PRONTO!) but if you don’t hear from me for a few days I’m sure you’ll know from this post, what I’m doing.

Pray that everything (like the internet switcharoo) goes off without a hitch!

Love you my sweet friends!!!

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

Friday Funnies! I’m a Wii Mom!

friday funnies_edited-2

Since it’s officially the start of the Christmas Holiday season, I thought I’d use my kicked up Christmasy logo. Feel free to use it too.

Happy Friday everyone!

Did you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving? Well it’s time to burn off some of that turkey and pie with a bit of giggling. It works the abs man! Hee! Hee!

If you have a family friendly funny to share feel free to link it up below. It can be a photo, video, story, etc.

Okay, I saw this commercial earlier this week and all I could think about is that I could have made it. Yes, I could have naturally stepped into that Mom’s place and done this commercial.  Why? Because I’m a gamer. No I don’t spend endless hours in front of the TV playing video games but I do love to play and I’m very competitive. Remember Pong? Space Invaders? The Atari game system? Oh yeah baby!

This commercial gives me a whole new outlook on playing games with the family!

Oh yeah!

Enjoy!

Have a FABULOUS Friday my sweet friends!!

Word Filled Wednesday!

WFWlogo2

I am constantly amazed at the beauty of this planet we live on. God’s artistic and creative hand is EVERYWHERE.

I took this picture while we were on vacation in North Carolina. I’m not a big fan of editing what is already beautiful ,so this picture is straight out of the camera.

God has been so good to us. Not to say we haven’t had our fair share of trials and pain but look at the first line of the verse. “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,”  WOW!  What a joy it is to know that one day we, His children will be receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken! With the uncertainty of what’s going on in the world today, this is a great promise to focus on.

Have a wonderful day my friends!

Just a little busy right now!

To say I’m busy is probably an understatement. For the last week since our return from our vacation we’ve been frantically packing our home, AGAIN! But this time I’ve had the help of some of my friends and that has made it a whole lot easier on me.
I’ve been wanting to post about our vacation but it’s just going to have to wait because I don’t want to just throw something up there and miss all the detail and fun that we had in the process. But here is a sample of the view we had from our cabin area.
IMG_1435

So needless to say I may be a little scarce this week and the next, more so the next. I already got a Friday Funny for you all and I may get to post some things this week but I may not have a lot of time to visit every one I enjoy visiting. So do me a favor and if you have something mind blowing going on let me know! LOL!

Love you all!

The Moving Boxes Part 3

Before we ever had a contract on our house we planned our vacation for the week of November 9-15, little did we know it would be right smack dab in the middle of all of this. But since it was already prepaid we had to go. (Vacation pictures to come!)

While we were on vacation the “wife” and “husband” of the house we are buying, had a little spat and the wife decided she would get back at the husband by not agreeing to sell the house. Her realtor quickly explained to her that that would not be such a great idea because it wouldn’t just be hurting her “husband” but it would be hurting the family wanting to buy her home (us) and not to mention the realtors involved in the whole process and the time it’s taken to get everything together. So as of right now, it’s still moving forward and she is out looking for a place to live. *Phew* That could have gotten ugly!

The story is still unfolding and who knows what can happen between now and the 30th. We’re praying that all goes smoothly from here on out.
I had a packing party yesterday and had some of my girlfriends over and we actually got a lot packed in one day. What a blessing!
So here’s the recap!

Our house right now!

The house we had set out to buy, but then it sold!

My dream home! LOL!
IMG_0581

And this is the house we are in the process of buying. (Try to imagine it without the realtor walking in front of it. LOL!)

So it’s T-Minus 13 days and counting. The timing is kind of nerve wracking because we aren’t sure how it’s all going to go down. So if you think about us during your prayer time, we’d sure appreciate you sending one up for us!
I’ll keep you posted on any new developments.
HUGS!

The Moving Boxes Part 2

Sorry to leave you hanging yesterday. It was mean of me, but the story is pretty long and I don’t want to leave anything out. It may take one more post but you’ll get a lot of the detail today. If you missed part 1, go here.

So here we sit, wondering what to do next. We were talking about our options and what we should do. We finally decided to take our house off the market at least through the holidays and then regroup and take it from there. All we need to do is call our realtor and let him know. Not 10 seconds after our conversation ended the phone rang. It was our realtor’s office calling, saying that someone wanted to come and look at the house. Huh? Just 10 seconds earlier we were all set to take her off the market and now someone wants to come look at it? That’s fine. We decided that they’d come look, move on and we’d take her off the market the next day.

So this nice family shows up and spends about 10 mins. looking at the house and then comes out the front door and says we have a lovely home and leaves with their realtor. I call my hubby and tell him that they weren’t interested because past experiences have told us that if they don’t stay long, they’re not interested. We decided to wait until the next day to call the realtor to let him know about our plans because my hubby was at work at this point. About 2 hours after the family came to look at the house my realtor calls and said that we have an offer on our house. WHAT? I’m sorry, WHAT? You gotta be kidding me!  But… but…they didn’t stay long. We don’t have a house to buy any more. We were going to regroup! Thanksgiving is coming up! Christmas! What?

Yup! They loved it. The husband and the Dad had gone and looked at 18 or so other houses prior to ours. Our house was the only one that the wife came to look at with them and she said she walked in and fell in love with it. Make a long story short, we love this family! I’m SO happy that they are the ones buying our house. They are exactly what I envisioned in our home. I got to sit down and talk with her while her husband and her Dad walked around the house as my husband showed them everything and what’s been updated and done. They are a young couple and we all hit it off really well. She wants to homeschool her kids when they get to be school age and was very excited when I told her that I’d be happy to help her in any way. Which of course means that we’ll be talking in the future. Has this every happened to any of you? LOL! You sell your house and become friends with the new owners? LOL!

Back to the story. Now we have someone who wants to buy our house but we no longer have a house to buy. So we set out house shopping the next day. We looked at 3 houses in the area in which we wanted to move and ended up really really liking the 1st one we looked at. Apparently the house is going through a nasty divorce. That’s never good. I asked our realtor who was still living in the house and he said the wife. Red flags started to fly but we proceeded with making an offer. Back and forth we went until we agreed to a price. Papers signed and ready to go.

Or so we thought…..

The Moving Boxes Part 1

Well it looks like most of you want to hear about the picture of the moving boxes first. So that’s what I’m gonna do. Because you all rock and I love ya! But don't worry, I'll be posting about our vacation after the moving box story is done. (If my Mom can wait that long. LOL! Hi, Mom!)

In order to not overwhelm you with a lot of words and information all at once, I’m going to break this into 2 parts. Easier to chew and better on your digestion. I don't want you all getting sick because I got a little wordy! AND I know you're busy and it's not all about me. (Though I think this week it should be! HA!)
So here we go!

Most of you remember that we got a contract on our house 4 months ago, the last day it was on the market. I packed 95% of my house and then the buyer backed out 10 days before closing because of a lower appraisal right?  (That’s it in a nutshell!)
Since our house was no longer on the market, I unpacked everything. EVERYTHING! I just wanted to move on with life.
Two and a half months later the house that we had intended to buy had lowered in price by almost $30,000. This motivated to us to put ours BACK on the market at a lower price to sell quickly so we could snag the house. (It was kept pretty hush hush. Hence the reason most of you didn't know! LOL) The first week we had 2 showings, then after that, nadda, zip, ZERO. Meanwhile the house we want to buy gets a contract on it. We aren’t really worried because this house is a short sale and it’s had PLENTY of contracts on it the whole year it’s been on the market. So we press on.
Fast forward 7 weeks. My husband is looking at the MLS (a daily thing) and the house we want to buy is GONE. SOLD!
Now what?
Come back tomorrow for part 2. It gets goooooood!

HUGS!!

I'm Going To Let You Decide!

So I have 2 things that I'm going to blog about this week (believe me it's going to take a week just to get it all out) and I'm letting you choose which one you want to hear about first.
First of all, most of you didn't even know that I was on vacation with the family all last week. Hee! Hee! Do you even know how hard it is for a blogger to keep a vacation a secret? Oy! Talk about torture. But I have a lot to show and tell, so that's choice number one.

Choice number two is the story behind the the moving boxes.

So what do you want to hear about first? Our vacation or about the moving boxes?

HUGS!

Friday Funnies! Because Someone Has To!

friday funnies

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!

It’s hard to believe it’s been a week already. Time is FLYING by.

But I am so ready to have some fun today!  In fact I have a hunch that I will be having lots of fun today!

So you want to help spread some of that fun? Well then post a family friendly story, joke, video, etc and then come back and link it up below.

Let’s giggle till we jiggle!

My funny today will give you all an even deeper look into the mind of yours truly.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

So my daughter and I were at Wally World the other day shopping for our upcoming vacation. Where we’re going it’s cold, colder than Florida. WAY colder than Florida. Heck anywhere in the United States is colder than Florida at this point.  ANYWAY, as we were walking by the hat section I knew that this little guy was coming home with me. After all I don’t have one and I’m gonna need one. So I did what any goofy, crazy, nutty 40 year old women would do.

I bought, an Eeyore hat.

IMG_1301

It’s perfect.

It’ll keep my noggin’ nice and cozy and I love the fact that it goes over my ears!

IMG_1305

Now don’t be jealous that I got the last one and they are probably sold out all over the country. It’s okay.

But wait there’s more.

Since her goofy mother was going this route, my daughter decided that she “had” to have an ear warmer too.

Cookie Monster anyone?

IMG_1307

Watch out world, here we come!

Be afraid, be very afraid!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

It would be wrong for me not to.

I had to. I really really had to. It was calling to me, I heard it. I tried to walk away but it kept calling me back. So I finally caved and walked away with this.

IMG_0219Seriously, you know that feeling you get when you walk into a pet store and all the puppies are looking at you so sad and you just want to take them all home but can’t?  Well then you completely understand the predicament I was in! Look at him?  How could say no to that face?

It really would have been a horrible tragedy to leave it behind in a big cold warehouse with only one or two hundred of it’s kind stack ever so neatly on top of each other. No, I couldn’t. It’s almost inhumane. I don’t want to be known as Kim the floor mat hater. It’s not good for my rep. You know what I mean?

Have a fabulous day!

If every picture tells a story………

………………………….wait till you hear what these two are saying!

But you’ll have to wait, as THIS story is still unfolding.

But boy is it a doosey!

There is so much going on in our lives right now. I’m happy to announce that for the most part it’s exciting. But even exciting can sometimes be a bit stressful.
But through it all, God is with us with His perfect will and His perfect timing.
Here’s my verse for today!

And Yet Another Reason Why This Calendar Was Perfect For Me!

This calendar that I got for this past year has been right on with every month that I turn the page.
This month is no different.
It just cracks me up how it relates so much to me!
IMG_0198
This was at the bottom of the calendar.
IMG_0199

I also have to admit that it’s been a hard decision picking out my next years calendar. I love so many different things it’s hard to narrow it down to one.
Would it be wrong to have like 5 calendars hanging around my house? LOL!
Have a blessed day my friends!
