And the Mother of the Year Award Goes to…….

ME!

I’m going to have to break this all into bite size posts so I don’t lose you to either boredom or time restraint. You’re welcome.

If you’ve read my last couple of posts you know that I’ve had this awful non-cold related cough for over a week now. You know, the week we’re supposed to be on vacation. Luckily my hubby was able to post-pone his vacation until this past week.

So here’s why I believe I should get the Mother of the Year award.

(Saturday, April 21st, it was day 4 of less then 3 hours sleep per night, but I still managed to muster up the strength to do this.)

1. This past Saturday we were able to go see where my hubby works. That may not seem like a fun thing to do for most of you but my hubby works in a VERY high security building in Cape Canaveral and there is hardly a time when he can get us all in there due to it’s high security. BUT last weekend he was able to and it was so neat to see what he does and where he actually works. That’s about all I can tell you unfortunately. High security, remember?IMG_8719

There is so much history out there. I wish you all could see it. It was fun driving around seeing the different rocket and space shuttle pads. They are so much bigger in real life then what you see on tv.

We ended our time on the cape with a drive to the beach. It was REALLY windy that day IMG_8713and due to my coughing, we didn’t think it was a great idea to hang out to long.

After we left the cape we grabbed some lunch at a local hangout and headed home.

Stay tuned for reason #2 of why I should get the MOTY award.

  1. That is so neat! I didn't know that was where you hubby worked! Cool beans! My hubby worked at Y-12 nuclear weapons facility, and he never could take me there, LOL!

  4. How fun for you all to get to see it! I think my boys would really enjoy that. And it must have been extra cool knowing that dad worked there. :)

My husband works in a place with high security, too. I've only ever been there once, and it was such a pain in the batuka to get clearance that I haven't been back since. So we just look from afar at the place where dad works, lol!
