We’ll we finally did it. We got us some chickens. My hubby finished the coop the other day and then headed out to buy our chicks.
Aren’t they cute? In a chickeny sort of way?
Their chicken condo awaits. We thought the blue would be calming to them. Just kidding. I’m thinking they don’t care one bit. But it is pretty and who says you can’t do pretty just cause it’s a chicken coop?

The girls took to their home really well. They started pecking at everything and even ate the carpenter ants that were crawling around in there. Bonus!
We got some hay to put in their nesting boxes and some pine shavings etc.
Maybe a picture of Chicken Little would make them more at home. I could pin it up on the inside.
What? We want happy chickens.
Anyhoo! We are pretty excited about our newest endeavor.
