He Gives and Takes Away and then Sometimes He Gives Back!

Almost 2 months ago I had every intention of completely walking away from blogging and my Homesteader’s Heart FB page. In fact, in my heart I did. Ask my friends and family and they will tell you, I was done. I felt the Lord redirecting me and I was convinced that my blogging season had come to an end.  But what I found was that He wasn’t taking it away completely. He was trying to get my attention so that I could see how messed up my priorities were. And believe me, they were messed up.

In the passed 2 months the Lord has done a heart change in me. I believe, no I KNOW my priorities are back on track and I’m a much better person because of it. I know He’ll be able to continue to use me through this outlet of blogging and my FB page the way He sees fit.

The start back will be slow and the visiting other blogs sporadic, but I am excited to see what lies ahead.

I’ve missed you all dearly and hope you are doing well. My 2 favorite holidays are coming up (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and I hope to share some fun stuff with you. One thing I learned during this reevaluation is that I don’t take as many pictures when I don’t have the blogging mind frame and that’s not really a good thing. LOL!

With much love and hugs,

Kim

  2. You're a good example for all of us to listen for His voice and wait on Him to guide You down the narrow path of blessing.

  3. First off, hugs! I've missed you! Really missed you. :) Second, I truly appreciate your soul searching. I've been stumbling through some of that myself and I have to say, I'm not sure what to do with what God is laying on my heart. I do know the process is one that can't be rushed. So, I totally understand the slow and careful steps forward. :)

And it's such a blessing when you feel like your priorities are in line - it makes blogging feel like a whole different experience. I look forward to all you'll be sharing! And, *ahem*, some people still have increases of followers and page likers even when they're gone so that other people can never catch up - LOL! :)

  5. Kim, I am happy you will stay active in blogland; even a post a month is good. I seem to only post once a week and know we are all busy little bees.

  9. Welcome home Kim. I'm so glad you're back even if you take it slowly. Like others have said, you were missed and it wasn't the same without you.
I know the Lord often needs to have us surrender something before He can realign our priorities-glad you learned quickly.
    Hugs, Noreen
