Some Lesson Love!

Yup! Once again I am sharing some lesson learning love with you all. I know, I know, it's so very unselfish of me but you know that's the kind of gal I am!

This week I learned.....

1. ...that as my birthday approaches I'm not as excited about it like I was 20 years ago! *sigh*

2. ....the Nature's Table is actually a really good place to eat. Ate there for the first time yesterday! It was yummy and not to expensive. We got half a wrap, cup of soup, a drink and a yogurt for less than $14.00 for the two of us! I'd say that's not to bad.

3. ....that when I pull my hair back in a ponytail the little gray hairs REALLY stick out AND straight up!

4. ....that I'm afraid of hair color and I'm not sure what I'm going to do some day in the future. (see #3). My husband calls it my crown of wisdom but I'm willing to sacrifice some wit for my brown hair again. Hee! Hee!

5. .....that my friend Kathy has the same problem (a little worse, so she says) so we will be going through this together and you KNOW it's going to be blog worthy. Oh yeah!

6. ....when you hide in the bathroom to eat your couple of pieces of chocolate because you don't want to share, it's just not as enjoyable!

7. ...that when you actually have your chocolate "stashed" in the bathroom, you have a problem. (Note to husband: Don't go looking for it it's all gone!)

8. ...that I can't seem to let a week go by without at least ONE of my posts containing the word chocolate in it. *sigh*

Well I can't think of anything else, which as I look back at this list is kind of sad! LOL. I hope you are able to find a gold nugget of wisdom in there somewhere, especially since I haven't covered any grays so it all goes to you as pure wisdom from my crown! Hee! Hee!

If you want to check out the lessons of complete strangers head on over to Musings of a Housewife.
Love you my sweet, patience, good humored friends!

Boy did they see me coming!

This is what happens when you go to an Estate sale, after hours, 2 days in a row and the lady just wants to get rid of stuff.

You end up getting this.
A giant piece of luggage stuffed with Christmas stuff. And I mean STUFFED! Which is still in my truck.

Two large crowbars. Which are still in my truck.
A bunch of old books. Well most of them were old. These are only half of them. Which are still in my truck
A beautiful teacup. Which is not in my truck.
And all for $20.00. Yup! They also had this Ethan Allen telephone bench that she would have given us for $50.00, which I know is a steal but I have absolutely no room for it.
The thing about it is, is apparently what they don't sell gets donated, so by the time it's over they will make some really good deals! So my advice to you is to check out your local estate sales and find some deals for yourself. I'm ready to decorate for Christmas, that's for sure. Oy!
Now I have to go clean out my truck! *sigh*

Mine and Lisa's "Official" Friendiversary

Well today is the day! On this day exactly one year ago Lisa @ Stop and Smell the Chocolates and I left comments on each others blogs and we haven't looked back. Okay that's not exactly true because we had to "look back" in order to find out just when we first met. But other than that we have moved our friendship in a forward motion. She is one of the sweetest and funniest and wittiest gals I know and this day is all about us! LOL. I warned you Thursday remember!

I actually thought I would surprise Lisa and go visit her on her blog. Shhh! She doesn't know I'm coming. I'm going to surprise her. You can click here to see just what her friendship means to me!

Huh?! I went ALL the way over there and she wasn't there. Then I come back here and find this!

(This just in: Lisa said that she forgot to say Happy Friendiversary on her "first" take and to add it for her.) So I'm wishing myself a Happy Friendiversary from Lisa!
Isn't she the best? I am so glad that Lisa and I's paths crossed. She is such a great friend and I am so blessed to have ever met her. I know we will have many more years of friendship, chocolate, tea, coffee, big laughs and hugs together through our blogs and our phones!
Love you Lisa!!

Now it's your turn to link up your friendship post. Tell us about the wonderful friendship or friendships you've made!

Friday Funnies- Friendship Edition

It's Friday!! I'm sure I didn't have to tell you that huh? Well to continue on with our Friendiversary celebration, I've dedicated this Funny to my wonderful, sweet, GOOD HUMORED friend Lisa @ Stop and Smell the Chocolates. (She has no idea what she's in for!) Shhh!

The story goes something like this. First of all I'm pretty sure we would be attached at the hip if we lived within a few miles of each other, as we just get along so well.
Hmmm, I wonder what that would look like? Maybe something like this?!

Any way, Lisa and I lived different lives growing up! I was very athletic and did my time in many different sports. Here are just a couple videos showing me in action!

Lisa on the other hand always dreamed of being in a movie. When the opportunity arose for her to audition for the ever popular HSM3 movie she jumped at the chance. Maybe a little older than the other girls but just as capable as ever. She ended up bowing out at the end because her husband didn't like the close proximity she would have with Mr. Zac Efron. So the roll was later cast by Vanessa Hudgens. But I know you want to see her audition tape so here it is.

Who knew that the blogging world could bring to people that are so different, together and make them friends.
Now that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Happy Friday Everyone!
Don't forget to come back tomorrow to link up your Friendship posts!
On that note you might want to stop over to Lisa's blog because there is war going on over there!!

Now help spread some funny! Go write your post and come back and link up!

Bloggy Friendship Days Begin Today!!

What are Bloggy Friendship Days? It's an idea that two gals (Lisa and I) came up with because they saw themselves becoming fast friends and wanted to celebrate their friendship. Today is OUR chance to tell you, our friends, how much we value your friendship. BUT our actual "friendiversary" is on Saturday and that's when WE are going to talk about nothing but each other and our friendship and when YOU get to link up YOUR friendship post. How did we come up with that date? Well we went back into the archives of our comments and realized that we both had comments on each other's blogs on June 27 2008 and so set the day! But today I am going to talk about some other friendships that I've gained since blogging. Now this could get long and sentimental so bear with me!
First off let me tell you that those of you who regularly read my blog and in turn are "really" getting to know me, just bless me so much. I never in a million years would have thought that people would actually come back to my blog again and again. But you do and I'm so glad you enjoy my little piece of the blog world.
Some of you are new to my blog and I'm slowly trying to make my rounds and see what you all are all about. I like to "know" my readers and what's making them tick. It's been a bit scary at times! LOL. But then again I'm sure I attract that which I am, right? Right? So basically we are all nuts! But I'm okay with that and I hope you are too!
Wow, this is already getting long! Sorry about that. To make this not so short and a bit sweeter I am going to narrow down my "friends" list to those of you whom I've known for over 8 months and visit regularly.

Debra -Debra and Lisa are 2 people that I would talk about a lot to my family and one day my daughter asked why I don't get their phone numbers so I could "talk" to them? Yikes! That's like putting it all on the line and actually saying, "Hey I want to be your friend and actually communicate with you verbally." Yes that's a big step, but one I gladly took and they actually gave me their phone numbers and we have talked quite a few times now! Though no one is beating down my door to get MY phone number! Just kidding! I actually got to meet Debra, as we both live in Florida and only 2 hours away. We have been come fast friends. She is about as sweet as they come!! She's the only blogger friend that I've actually met in real life. Here's a picture of us when we went over to where she lives.Donna- This lady here is a sweet heart. She travels a lot with her husband and when I asked if she could send me some post cards from her travels to use in homeschooling she didn't hesitate to yes. She has a great heart and takes wonderful pictures of her journeys.

Mimi- Mimi and I are a couple of peas in a pod. Maybe that's because we share the same birthday. I don't know how she does it but she manages to get around the blog world and leave her sweet mark on various different blogs. She must type faster than me! Hee! Hee!

Laura Lee - Love this gal's heart. She just always has an encouraging word whenever I need it. And the best devotionals on the planet!

Now for some fast growing friends! I can see me clicking with all of you if I ever got to meet you. I love you all.

Okay I was putting down names and linking up to everyone when I realized I was basically going down my list of people that I follow, because I don't follow anyone I don't like. So if I follow you I consider you my friend or you may be on my side bar on my blog. Either way, I am so floored at the friendships that I have made. You all know who you are!! If you know me then you know me to be sincere. So believe me when I say that I would call any and all of you my friends. You all bless me in your own individual way. Some of you make ME laugh, some make me think, some make me grateful and some bring encouragement. You are my blogging melting pot and I love you all!
So if you ever have the time, go check out those that I follow. You will definitely meet some more really great gals!!

Come back tomorrow for Friday Funnies. Lisa doesn't even know what I'm up to. But it'll be fun!
And don't forget that Saturday you'll be linking up YOUR friendship post!

Garage Sale Finds

The family and I went out to the garage sales this past weekend. It had been a long time since we had gone to any but I felt the need to bring more stuff into my home to give me something to weed out in 6 months!
There were a few Estate sales which are always fun to go to. One in particular had a lot of nice dishes and china and in and amongst that were some very pretty tea cups. My husband saw me perusing them and asked if I would like him to buy me a couple. Hmm, let me think...YES! She had $8.00 on each, except for the one I wanted which was a Lenox Christmas tea cup. No, she had $10.00 on that. But I set off to make a deal and a deal I got. I asked her if she'd take 2 for $8.00 and she said no. So I said 2 for $10.00 and she said yes! Woo! Hoo! Kim was doing the happy dance! (Something you have to see to appreciate!) So I ended up getting the Lenox Christmas Tea cup and another very pretty tea cup for the price of one! Yeah! Now I officially have 6 tea cups. I'd say it's time to throw a tea party. Hmmm maybe for my daughter's sweet 16 coming up in September! Anyway I also snagged some like new readers for my sons at another garage sale for $5.00 and a lighted Snowman for $1.00. (I collect snowmen, so I was pretty stoked about that one!) Do you want to see the "stuff"? Of course you do.
Did YOU go garage saleing this past weekend? What did you get? Oh and did you know that when a company is hired to run an estate sale, whatever they don't sell has to be donated to Good Will? I didn't know that. So make sure you haggle a little the next time you go!

Impromptu Giveaway 1 Day Only! WINNER!

Using the number generator the winner is number 1! Congrats Mel. Like I said in my post, I got these at Joann Fabrics if you are interested. I'm going to read over them this week and try to start one or the other the first of next week. I'll keep you posted on my cooking blog.

My daughter and I went to Joann Fabrics yesterday. (I always leave there tired and hungry! But that so has nothing to do with my point!) As I was looking around I came across these two books. The 28 Day Plan (Detox) and The 28 Day Plan (Flat Stomach). These are very short but sweet books. So in light of yesterday's post I figured this was just meant to be, so I bought me and one lucky winner a set. I've only flipped through them but they look like they have really easy to understand information.
But as with anything I would be careful and take their advice at your own risk. (Blah blah blah covering my own butt, blah blah!)
With that said, if you would like to have these 2 books just leave a comment telling me why and I'll pick a winner tonight. EASY!!

Here's what the back of the Detox book says:
* Are you lacking in energy and carrying a little extra weight? Do you feel you are generally lethargic? Then detox could be the answer.
* Shows you how to cleanse your body through exercise and healthy eating
*Features a week-by-week plan with daily schedules to make this an achievable aim
*Contains easy to follow exercise to practice at home or in the gym
And much more...
These look good I just wish someone else could do them for me but let me reap the benefits! LOL. Dang, I am lazy! LOL.

I will pick a name at 8p.m. EST tonight and Update this post with the winner!

This time a REALLY mean it!

As some of you know, I'm not getting any younger. No really it's true. And those of you who aren't getting any younger right along side me realize that losing weight gets a WHOLE lot harder the OLDER you get. Am I right? Yeah, you bet I'm right. I can't say that I'm unpleased with my appearance completely. I mean my legs and arms are pretty toned and look good but for some reason the fat cells in my mid section decided to have a party and stick around. I can't get rid of them! They are like the unwanted house guest and I want them gone. What does this mean? Well, and this is gonna hurt, I need to stop eating the extra sweets like ice cream, BROWNIES, Snickers, Almond Joys, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and cake. Yes these are my weaknesses and the reason for the unwanted guests. That is the only thing I can figure that is stopping me from losing weight. Because other than that I cook from scratch and eat healthy and I exercise at least 5 times a week. With that said, I will not deny myself completely as I would probably go insane, BUT it will be limited to get-togethers, birthdays and certain holidays. This is big in lue of my past posts about me eating chocolate and brownies and such! I love sweets and this is going to be hard but I'm pretty over it and I think my determination is stronger than my love for chocolate! Well at least we'll see.
I'm going to be putting my menu together with calorie counts and such with it. If you are interested in this little journey of mine I will be posting my progress on my cooking blog. I hope to lose at least 10lbs by Christmas. That's not a very hard goal, so we'll see!
Okay there! It's in writing. Set in stone! No turning back unless I hit the delete button before I hit publish..................NO, I'm gonna do this!
Thanks for putting up with me my friends and don't forget about Friendship Days this week!

Bloggy Friendship Days

Some of you may have noticed the cute little button on the top of my blog. Well I thought I would explain since most of you probably didn't take the time to click it and find out what it was all about! Hee! Hee!
Lisa @ Stop and Smell the Chocolates and I were trying to figure out just when we met. So we did a little digging and we found that we each had a comment on our blogs from each other on June 27th 2008. And since it has almost been a year we thought we would celebrate our friendiversary and suck you all into it. We are calling it Bloggy Friendship Days. Catchy huh?
Here's the low down. Lisa and I will be talking about our bloggy friendship next Thursday. Then on Friday,I'll still have Friday Funnies as usual and she'll have Chocolate Friday as usual, but we'll include some friendship fun! The best part will be on Saturday, 6/27 (Our Friendiversary!) - when you get to link up your friendship posts! Write and post about your special bloggy friendships and then link them up that day. You know who I'm talking about. The gals you clicked with right from the start. The ones you got to meet in real life and hit it off with. The ones you HAD to talk on the phone with because commenting wasn't enough. The ones with whom you can't go a day without visiting their blog. Those girlfriends! The only rule is that you had to have met them while blogging. If your like me you'll want to list everyone but try to narrow it down a little.
Sound like fun? Well then join us!! June 25-27 2009! Grab the button and help spread the word!

Friday Funnies

I seriously don't know where the time is going but it is once again FRIDAY! Yeah!! It's been a very busy week and I haven't been able to visit a lot of you, but today I will be able to come see your funnies. So if you have one go post it and then link it right back here with Mr. Linky!

My funny today came about on my clothes shopping trip. If you haven't read that yet, it's a funny all in itself. But anyway, while I was at Ross's I was perusing the housewares section and found this tray!
Is that not the funniest thing ever! Okay maybe not the funniest but I laughed so hard at this. It puts a smile on my face every time I look at it. The best part? It was only $2.99! Can you say SCORE!! It'll be nice for transporting coffee and such. See?After yesterday's post you deserved something short and sweet!
Happy Friday my friends!!

Kim's Shopping Trip 09'

Okay I admit this post "seems" a little long but like most of my posts it should be an easy read! LOL!

First off let me tell you that I don't like clothes shopping. This is the first "real" shopping I've done for myself in a very very long time and my closet will vouch for it in every way! Like I said before, I gravitate toward solid colors and if I like something I will buy it in at least 3 different colors!
But the other day I recruited 2 of my friends to drag me out of my hum drum comfort zone. The first half of the day started out with my friend Laura but neither one of us brought a camera so we don't have any pictures of that "experience"! But she was grabbing things left and right as I would slowly wonder off toward the solid colored shirt section. (Say that 10X fast!) She had to keep pulling me back and I finally gave in and tried a bunch of things on that I normally wouldn't. And I actually liked a few things and ended up getting them. She unfortunately couldn't finish the day with me so I then recruited my friend Kathy, who DID bring a camera, to finish the home stretch. Posting what I got would be boring but posting what I DIDN'T get will be fun!

First of all this sign caught my eye and made me laugh! I want to know what exactly IS an Active Bottom? And do I want one?

There was this number here that I really had a hard time understanding WHY they wasted so much pretty blue material on. (you may have to zoom in on the dress to fully appreciate)
Prom? Pajama's? After this picture was taken I was trying to get this off from around my neck and it and the hanger got stuck in my hair and I couldn't get it out. Kathy had to help me! That would have been a good picture!
Okay I know. NOT a very flattering picture of me, but I liked this skirt and then saw the price tag!! Yeah if you can't read it it says $100.00!! Are you kidding me? I could totally buy me some fabric and a pattern and so let it sit there and NEVER make my own skirt for a lot less!
Kathy and I actually put this little ensemble together and left it on the rack like the store might have done it. We walked out laughing hysterically and then decided that we really needed a picture of it and went back in and took this picture. Partridge Family anyone?
This nice yellow and black checkered thing sure caught my eye. Not only would it NEVER cover my backside but it's yellow and black checkered! Enough said! Now we took tons of picture of clothes I didn't buy and or wouldn't be caught dead in but really all you have to do is go in ANY department store and you too can see all the UGLY clothes for your self.

But as you can see I did manage to find something and I thank my personal fashion consultants for helping me out so much!
Okay okay! As women I know you really want to see a few things that I did buy so I won't let you down.
No I'm not going to model them for you! LOL.
Are you still with me? Do you want more? Cause there is more. But you have to go see Kathy's blog for the lunch time post!
Love you my friends and thank you for caring a lick about what clothes I didn't buy!

Works For Me Wednesday

Here's what's been working for me. A while back I discovered Cozi. I'm not sure how.
It was probably from stumbling across another blog, but I really do like it. First of all it's Free! You will have to check it out. It's not complicated and it has pretty much everything you need to keep your thoughts straight. You can designate a different color to each member of your family on the calendar to keep everyone separate. I downloaded the screen saver for my pictures and am loving that. It's really cool. The website tells about it better than I can so go check it out here! Tell me what you think of it.

For those of you who were wondering about my "shopping trip" yesterday. Oh boy, do I have pictures for you! Come back tomorrow to check it out. Today me and Kathy are doing our annual photo shoot! Don't worry that to will be a post!

To see what's working for everyone else, go to We are That Family!

The ongoing lessons continue...

This was a busy week so I'm going to pull out the things that left a mark on my brain!

This week I learned that....

1. ...if you do things out of order while in the shower you might end up getting out and getting dressed before you realize you forgot to wash your hair and then in turn have to try to wash it in the sink! That's what I get for shaving my legs first instead of last!

2. .....while celebrating your son's 7th birthday you'll find yourself trying to explain to your 4 year old son (ALL DAY) why it's not HIS birthday AGAIN! His was LAST month.

3. .....I am not going to lose 10lbs if I keep eating cake and brownies. *sigh* And Snickers! And an occasional Almond Joy! *sigh* What?

4. .....I have no style when it comes to clothes. (She says after staring into her closet!) I'm going clothes shopping TODAY. Something that I haven't done in a LONG time. Why? Because I don't enjoy it. Why? Because I don't know how to put anything together. I just come home with the same shirt in different colors. But I have recruited my own personal fashion stylist to go with me to break me out of my comfort zone. I'll let you know how that goes!

5. ...grilled cheese, ice cream and pop corn can be deemed as supper when your husband isn't home! Hee! Hee!

Aren't you glad I go through this every week so you don't have to? Yes, I know. I'm pretty selfless.
If you want to learn lessons from others or to share your own, head on over to Musings of a Housewife.

*Heavy Sigh*

Update below!
I really need to get on the ol' homeschool planning ball but before I can I need to take care of something that REALLY needs to be dealt with first. *sigh*
THIS!Yes, there's actually a desk underneath there and yes, it's gotten really really bad. AGAIN! No, this isn't the first time it's gotten like this. It would almost be embarrassing if I didn't know that most of YOUR desks have looked like this at one time or another! Come on admit it. Lisa W. if you look to the right you can see your scarf that I still need to ship to you. LOL! (Maybe my apron and your scarf will pass in the mail!) There's my sketch pad. I got it out thinking I might have time to do some drawing. Ha! Ha! Ha! Who was I kidding? Sophie Mae, you can see I hung the Maxine Calendar right where I can see it.
So as you can see I have my work cut out for me today. Desk work is not my forte'. I can think of a 100 things I'd rather be doing but this desk isn't going to clean itself. *sigh*
Or does it?!

I'll be back to post my "after" picture later on today, as I know you will be anticipating it! SFETE!

Okay everyone! Here is the after picture! I feel so much better now. Like I can think again!!! What you can't see is that I just slid everything on the floor. I'm kidding! Really I am!!!

What are you tackling this week?

Friday Funnies

I don't have to tell you it's Friday. And I don't have to tell you how much I look forward to Friday Funnies. I get some really big laughs sometimes and other times it's just me SFETE! (See Last Friday)
Do you have a funny to share? If you do then go post about it then come back and link up to it. If you don't then just sit back, relax and get a good laugh today. You deserve it!

Well I've been building this up all week. Now the pressure is on for it to be funny. It's the story of my very 1st cup of coffee. It goes something like this.
Hubby and I were going on a date. We decided to head down to Vero (45 mins from our house) and go to the mall and see a movie. We walked around the mall and then headed for the movie. After the movie let out we went back in the mall to do some more looking around. We decided that the weather was getting bad and we better head back. On our way out we had to walk past Barnie's Coffee. I think Barnie's Coffee is in every mall in America. Just like Starbucks is on every corner. Anyway, as we were walking by it just smelled soooo good and I said. "Hey let's get some coffee for the trip home." Hubby said, "Sure." as he was already an avid coffee drinker. The line was pretty long but that gave me time to peruse the menu. Lattes, Tall's , Slim's, Espresso, Cappuccino's, Half Caf's. They weren't speaking my language and I was getting a little nervous as I approached the front of the line. The last thing I wanted to do was look like a novice. So I walked up to the counter with confidence and asked for a coffee. "What kind?" they asked. "What do you mean, what kind?" I just want coffee. When I finally declared that I just want good ol' fashioned plain coffee I then had to determine the size. I figured the Large would be a good choice and got that. My husband got his and we went over to the place where they have all the condiments. There they were, creamer, sugar, cinnamon, flavored syrups etc. I asked my husband what you put in coffee and he likes cream and sugar. I figured if it was on that table it needed to be in my coffee. So away I went adding just about everything there was. After all I didn't want it to taste like coffee because I didn't like coffee. I wanted it to taste like what I smelled walking by. So I gave it a sip and determined that it was pretty good. By now it's about 4:00 pm and we grab our coffees and head out the door. Just as we get in the truck it starts to downpour. We start heading home. Meanwhile I had sipped about half of my coffee and was feeling the effects. The conversation went something like this.
Me: (You must say this very quickly to get the full effect.) "Wow, this is really good."
Me: "Is yours this good?"
Me: " Has coffee always tasted this good?"
Me: "It sure is raining hard?"
Me: (sipping more coffee) "Mmmm, this is kind of nice sipping coffee and it raining. Don't you think?"
Me:" I'm loving this."
Me: "Thank you for taking me out on a date and getting me coffee."
Me: " The movie was really good."
Me: (finishing up the LARGE coffee) " Wow, I can't believe I drank all that."
Me: " It sure was good."
Me:" I can't believe I didn't like coffee."
Me:" I think I like it now."
Me:" You'll have to show me how to make it at home."
Me:"Boy, this stuff goes right through you doesn't it?"
Me:" How much longer till we get home?"
Hubby:"Kim, do you realize you've talked non-stop since we left?"
Me:" Really?"
Me:" Nah, ah!"
Me:" You've said something haven't you?"
Hubby:"Uh, no."
Me:"Does coffee do that to you?"
Me:"Will it wear off?"
Me:" I feel like I could jog the rest of the way home."
Me:" I would if it weren't raining."
Me:"Oh thank goodness, we're home."
Me:" I really need to pee!"
Me: "Ahhhhh!"

Yup! The conversation was just like that. I'm also pretty sure more was said by me as the trip was 45 mins. long! My husband would vouch for it. Now remember that I had never drank coffee before (I was 33) and I drank it about 4:00 in the afternoon. I was up until 6:00 am the next day!! You live you learn. I got a lot of work done thought! Hee! Hee!

Happy Friday my Friends!!!
Don't forget I'm guest posting over at my dear friend Lisa's blog Stop and Smell the Chocolates! You don't want to miss it!

Here's what I did!

I know you all have been waiting anxiously to see what became of my watering can and one of my many empty baskets.
Well wait no longer. I loved Lisa's idea of using the basket to house my coffee supplies. Everything fits great in there and it just looks neat sitting by my coffee maker! AND it frees up some well needed space in my cupboard! Tell me what you think.

And then you all gave me some great ideas for my watering can. I decided on the fake flowers and thought that putting it in our bedroom would be perfect as we are doing it in a cottage style. I picked really bright flowers so they stand out against the blue walls. Tell me what you think. To much? Be honest. An interior decorator I am not!
You all are so helpful! It's like having a ton of friends right at my finger tips. How cool is that? I have the best bloggy friends in the blog world. Yes, I'm kissing up for the next time I need your advice!
BIG GIANORMOUS HUGS!

Don't forget to come back for Friday Funnies and my story about my very 1st cup of coffee.

What did I Learn This Week?

I know you all wait eagerly for this day of the week when I announce what I've learned so you can glean and learn without the hassle of doing it yourself. You're Welcome! I'm sure that none of you would want to learn the lessons I learned this week. I pretty much learned them all yesterday! You'll see why I couldn't possibly remember anything before that! They were brutal! Hee! Hee!

This week I learned that...

1. ..when your computer acts up and you can't access your friend's blogs, you will have more fun going boating then staring at your computer! See I'll show you.
This is me staring at my computer.
This is me chillin' out and
and staring at this, the Atlantic Ocean.
And then playing on this. One of many islands in the Indian River.
I also learned that your boys can have their life jackets on long after you've been off the boat and you won't notice until you look back at pictures! Oh well, they didn't complain.
I learned that I still love to fish!
I also learned that about the time this picture was taken it was too late to add any more sunblock as I was pretty fried on my shoulders and the back of my neck! Uh, yeah! Ouch!
The learning continues as I learned that a wet boxer is just as cute as a dry boxer! I love you Stormie!!
I learned that my daughter makes a pretty cute hood ornament! And last but not least. I learned that when you are bringing your boat back to the dock you never know what you are going to see. Check this out!
Yes, it is a boat/truck. We thought this guy was on drugs when we pulled up to the dock as it was driving into the river. And then it started to "drive" around. Cool huh? We have video of it but I didn't want to overwhelm you with everything.

So did you learn anything this week? Go check out Musings of a Housewife and link up and see what others have learned!
HUGGING YOU ALL!!
Hopefully I'll be able to visit you all today. The computer seems to be acting a little better!
